On January 11th the proposed design for the rebuild of St Peter’s Church was presented to the villagers of Ropley in the Village Hall. The proposal was based upon previous consultation with the village and was enthusiastically endorsed by all those attending, some 90 people. It has now been submitted for planning approval to East Hants District Council and can be found at the following web address:
The rebuilt church will remain a community asset and so will be of interest to all in the village. Accordingly you are invited to access the planning web address above which will take you directly to the St Peter’s planning application no 34053/002 and to make comment. Generally it is more common to register objections to planning proposals but in this case favourable comments would be particularly welcome to reflect the enthusiastic support received at the consultative meetings so far. We have until the 22nd March to make comment.
